The Evangelist

God’s plan for His church is a very simple one and it has never been improved upon.

Jesus Christ gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip His people for works of service so that the Body of Christ (His Church) may be edified until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God — Eph 4:11-13.

Jesus gave the five fold ministry gifts to His church for a reason. The above verses tell us that believers are equipped, edified, and unified when they are exposed to the five ministry gifts. Many churches today neglect the ministry gifts of the apostle, prophet, evangelist and teacher.

The Evangelist

Jesus gave the ministry gift of the evangelist to His church for the following reasons:

N

Co-labor with apostles, prophets, pastors, and teachers to build His church (Act 8:5-17; Eph 4:11-13).

N

Preach and teach the Word of God (Act 8:12).

N

Work miracles (Act 8:6).

N

Win the lost (Act 8:13).

N

Set the captives free (Act 8:7).

N

Heal the sick (Act 8:7; 10:38).

N

Impart joy (Act 8:8).

N

Impart faith (Act 8:12).

N

Exalt Jesus Christ (Act 8:5; 12).

N

Unite the church in faith and doctrine (Act 8:6; Eph 4:11-12).

N

Impart knowledge of Jesus Christ to believers (Eph 4:13).

N

Equip believers for the work of the ministry (Eph 4:11-12).

N

Edify the church (Eph 4:11-12).

N

Teach sound doctrine so believers will not be deceived (Eph 4:14).

N

Teach the truth in love to make mature believers (Eph 4:15).

N

Make all believers productive in the church (Eph 4:16). All Christians are to “do the work of an evangelist” (2Ti 4:5).

Teamwork

Jesus did not a appoint pastors or equip them to build His church alone. The ministry gift of the evangelist is to work with the pastor and help him build his congregation both spiritually and numerically. The message of the evangelist may be the same as the pastor but the anointing is different.

The pastor and the evangelist must be united in faith. As an evangelist Frank’s desire is to help pastors achieve the vision that God has put in their hearts. He always supports pastors with a servant attitude that produces positive results. Frank is keenly aware of the pressures and needs of pastors today. He works alongside pastors to see lives changed, people healed, set free, filled with the Holy Spirit, and to inspire church-goers to become church-builders.

Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building – 1Co 3:5-9.

Stand fast in one Spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the Gospel – Phi 1:27.

Having the same love, being of one accord – Phi 2:2.

All speak the same thing, have no divisions among you; and be perfectly joined together in the same mind and same judgment – 1Co 1:10.

There should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care one for another – 1Co 12:25.

Endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace – Eph 4:3.

Love one another as He commanded us – 1Jo3:23.

How good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity – Psa 133:1.

Relationship

Every relationship has to start sometime. We understand pastors must be discerning when inviting guest ministers. Frank has a good relationship with pastors and ministry leaders worldwide who first connected with him by our website, social media, phone, or e-mail.

We beseech you brethren to know (recognize, respect) those that labor among you and are over you in the Lord, and instruct you. Esteem them very highly in love because of their work and be at peace among yourselves – 1Th 5:12-13.

Love one another as I have loved you – Joh 13:34.

Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your Name and we told him to stop because he was not following us. Jesus said, Do not stop him. For no one who does a miracle in my Name will soon after speak evil of Me – Mar 9:38-39.

The one who receives you receives Me – Mat 10:40.

Accept one another just as Christ accepted you for the glory of God – Rom 15:7.
