Healing
The Bible teaches how to receive healing and maintain
health.
Become a Christian and
give God first place in your life Matthew 13:15 For the heart of the people has grown dull. Their ears
are hard of hearing and their eyes they have closed, otherwise they might see
with their eyes and hear with their ear and understand with their hearts, and
be converted so that I should heal them. Please read How to Become a Christian.
Believe Jesus Christ died on the Cross to forgive your sins and
heal you 1 Peter 2:24 He Himself
carried our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live
for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed. Matthew 8:16 He took our
infirmities and carried our diseases.
Believe God loves you
John 3:16 God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that
whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal
life.
Do everything you can to be
healed If necessary visit a doctor,
take medicine, or have surgery while trusting in God to heal you. James 5:14 Is
any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him
and anoint him with oil in the Name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith
will heal the sick and the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be
forgiven. 16 Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that
you may be healed.
Believe
healing is God's will Exodus 15:26
I am the Lord that heals you. John 15:7 If you remain in Me and My words remain
in you, ask whatever you will, and it will be done for you.
Pray for healing Psalm 6:2 Have mercy on me, O Lord for I am weak; O Lord heal me for
my bones are troubled.
Have faith
in God, His promises, and His healing power Hebrews 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please God, for the
one who comes to God must believe that God is, and that He is a rewarder of
those who diligently seek Him. Deuteronomy 7:15 The Lord will take away from
you all sickness.
When possible
find the cause and remove it James
5:16 Confess your sins to one to another and pray one for another that you may
be healed. Possible causes are: personal sin or the sins of others,
unforgiveness, witchcraft or occult practices, drugs, alcohol, immorality,
smoking, worry, tension, stress, fear, anxiety, overwork, lack of rest, poor
diet or taking communion unworthily (1 Corinthians 11:28).
Praise God for your healing Psalm 42:11 I will yet praise Him who is the health of
my countenance, and my God. Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, O Lord, and I will be
healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I
praise.
Stay optimistic and
happy Proverbs 17:22 A cheerful
heart is good medicine but a crushed spirit dries up the
bones.
Stay humble before God and
others 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my
people, who are called by my Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My
face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will
forgive their sin and heal their land.
Keep your vision of healing Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision the people perish. Proverbs
23:7 As he thinks in his heart, so is he.
Control your words
Proverbs 12:18 The tongue of the wise promotes health. Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant
words are health to the bones.
Surrender to God, resist the devil, and be
persistent James 4:7-8 Submit to
God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will
draw near to you. Clean your hands you sinners; and purify your hearts you
double-minded.
Serve God daily by
giving Him your very best Proverbs
4:20-22 Pay attention to what I say; listen closely to My words. Do not let
them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those
who find them and health to your whole body. |
